2019 Hot Wheels ’64 Nova Wagon Gasser

For me, the most-anticipated Hot Wheels new model of 2019 was the ’64 Nova Wagon Gasser. I was excited when the ’64 Chevy Nova Station Wagon was first released in 2013, and even more pumped when the casting was retooled to include a ’64 Chevy Nova Delivery version in 2015. Now with the Gasser, I’m thrilled to have a third tool of the ’64 Chevy Nova Wagon to collect.

I found the gray version at the Target store in the St. Louis area where I also scored my throwback Impala. Then, a short time later, I found the blue variation at a Dillon’s (Kroger) store.

I’m not a huge fan of 5-spoke wheels, but I do think the gray wheels work better on the gray car. Hopefully in the near future we’ll get a variation with a paint and wheel upgrade.

2019 Hot Wheels Throwback ’64 Chevy Impala

While I was in the St. Louis area last month, it wasn’t all antique stores. After a good day of hunting, we had a great meal of hummus and shawarma at Albadia, then stopped at a nearby Target store. There I found my Hot Wheels Throwback Series ’64 Impala. The scalloped paint job and gold blackwalls matched up with gold chrome grille and bumpers makes this a must-have addition to my collection of this great casting.

The Hot Wheels ’64 Chevy Impala made its debut in 2004 and has been produced in about 25 variations since then. Some really nice recent releases include the 2018 Art Cars release and the 2018 50th Anniversary Black and Gold version.
