2022 Hot Wheels Walmart Exclusive Batman TV Series Batmobile

2022 was a big year for the Hot Wheels 1966 TV Series Batmobile. Back in January, I proudly showed 4 of what I thought at the time were 5 different variations released that year. And while I did eventually find the 5th, it turns out there are actually 7!

This metalflake dark blue model with blue flames is from the 2022 Walmart exclusive Batman series. While it is not a premium series (the car has regular wheels and a plastic base), the card art is nicely done.

The back of the card shows the other Batmobile castings available in this Walmart exclusive series.

Other Hot Wheels TV Series Batmobiles in my collection include one of the 2007 New Models and a 2009 release in the Faster Than Ever Seriesanother with excellent card art from the 2016 Batman Series, and one from the Batman Series of 2020.

2020 Hot Wheels Batman 1966 TV Series Batmobile

While Hot Wheels now has at least 13 different Batmobile castings (not even counting Batboats, Batcycles, Batcopters, etc.), the 1960s Batmobile – the modified Lincoln Futura created by George Barris for the 1966 TV series – will always be my favorite. I still have the PlayArt model from my childhood, and though I don’t really seek them out, I’m happy to grab another example of this car when I find one somewhere. This model that I found on a recent grocery run to Dillon’s (Kroger) is from the 2020 Hot Wheels Batman series.

In my collection, I also have the 2007 first release of the 1966 TV Series Batmobile, a variation from the 2009 Faster Than Ever series and one from the 2016 Batman series that has really nice card art.
